Enjoy educational and fun days at a horse farm! Campers will learn about horses, goats, chickens, honey bees, and gardening. They will be taught about safety and responsibility around farm animals and will go in depth learning all about horses and horse care. Campers will also participate in light farm chores including grooming horses, collecting eggs from the chickens, and feeding the farm animals. Campers will enjoy adventurous nature walks with our friendly herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats and have pony rides with our lesson horses. Camp wouldn’t be complete without STEAM activities, arts & crafts, sprinkler fun and water games!

This horse camp is designed for junior equestrians who take weekly lessons at MBF (or summer students/residents who have taken a riding lesson from Erin to ensure this camp is a good match) that can walk, trot, canter and are learning to jump or have jumping experience and want to improve their skills on the flat and over fences. Each day is structured around daily equitation riding lessons and learning about all aspects of horse care and stable management. Additional educational opportunities are provided through mini-clinics, horse-related activities, and arts & crafts that focus on horse anatomy and conformation, lunging, natural horsemanship, feed and nutrition, equine first aid, and managing a horse barn. All campers will enjoy a BBQ dinner Thursday evening with s'mores around the campfire before heading to bed in the hayloft. Friday breakfast and pizza lunch are included.
